Rome has many fountains but Trevi Fountain is no doubt the most famous in all of Rome. Trevi fountain was completed in 1762 based on the theatrical masterpiece of Nicola Salvi whom was commissioned by Pope Clement XII to build the fountain in 1732. Trevi Fountain ‘s center of attention is the statue of Neptune, god of the sea, riding a shell chariot pulled by 2 horses. Each horse is guided by a Triton.
