Mer de Glace is the largest glacier in France located on the northern slopes of Mont Blanc massif. It is 200 meters deep and 7 kilometers long ice caves with blue interior and bright sparks carving into the glacier. What makes it beautiful is that the effects of light through the glacier and ice grotto hewn from the very bowels of the glacier. The temperature inside is around -2°C to -5°C. Since the glacier is constantly moving, the entrance gate is carved each year and as you go down the cave take a look at the entrance gate from previous years to get the idea how much the glacier is moving. Mer de Glace is open throughout summer and winter.

Waitomo gets its name from ‘wai’ which means water and tomo’I which means hole. The whole area is riddled with limestone caves and strange formations. Many of the metro Stations in Munich are decorated beautifully. Take one example of it, Moosacher St Martins-Platz which walls are completely covered with photographs mosaics. The underground station opened in December 11th, 2010. The photographs are small sized so it is kind of difficult to see the picture one by one but hey just enjoy the whole big picture!
