Worldwide known as the healthiest diet, Greek salad is made from fresh and juicy tomatoes, cucumbers. onion, feta cheese and dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. Greek salad is a very common food served everywhere. The juice from tomatoes mixed with virgin olive oil is really good to eat with bread.

 

2. Keftedakia

Keftedakia is a delicious food made from minced meat shaped as balls. The minced meat balls consist of onion, peppermint, toasted bread and some more herbs. After it’s being fried, the meatballs are cooked with tomato sauce.

 

3. Moussaka

One of the famous foods in Greece, Moussaka is a oven-baked food made from layers of fried aubergines, minced meat, tomatoes, and béchamel sauce with herbs and garlic.

 

4. Tzatziki

Usually served as a dip and to give special taste for souvlaki and meat dishes in general. Tzatziki is made from strained yogurt, shredded cucumbers, olive oil, a lot of garlic.

 

5. Feta Cheese

Feta is a traditional Greek cheese made from goat milk or sheep milk. You will find it served in most of Greek food such as in Greek salad, spinach pie (Spanakopita), cheese pie, or grilled with tomatoes.
