Plitvice Lakes National Park is the largest national park in Croatia, a beautiful destination you should visit when you are in Croatia. This national park spanning across nearly 300 kilometers of cascading multi-tier waterfalls, wooden paths, bridges, and forested hills. The beauty of Plitvice was first enjoyed by tourists in 1949. Plitvice Lake opens daily all year round. It is a home to deers, bears, wolves, and wild boar, and rare bird species. It features more than 8 kilometers of wooden paths and bridges. The beauty of Plitvice lies in 16 lakes which are interconnected by a series of waterfalls. Plitvice covers 300 square kilometers of the area, 8 kilometers of it is the distance of the lakes joined together.
